Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report
Mid September weather has been hot, afternoon thunderstorms have been intense. The mullet are starting to trickle into the local Palm Beaches, big schools should be on beaches and throughout inter coastal soon.
Juvenile tarpon have been abundant in bays and canals. These fish are striking live bait‘s and X wraps. The Silver King put on a great show with the acrobatic leaps, bringing plenty of excitement to anglers. Bigger tarpon from 50 to 100 pound class are starting to migrate down beach following baits school. Those fish can targeted with live bait DOA baitbuster or a Rapala skitter walk.
Snook anglers have been targeting bridges, seawalls and docks for best results. Snook are ambushing bait schools as they push through with incoming and outgoing tides. Artificial enthusiast, a Rapala skitter walk or a Doa bait buster will get the drag screaming.
Anglers looking for nonstop action jacks are abundant and put on a show with there explosive strikes. Jacks explode on live bait free lined or a Rapala skitter walks worked near structure or channel edges. Jacks range in size form 2 to pounds.
