Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report
The past week offered plenty of sunshine and rod bending action. The water temperatures are on the rise and the bite will continue to stay hot.
Snook fishing is stellar providing anglers not stop action catching three species of snook. Live baits and DOA C.A.L. 3 " shad tail baits of choice to get the rod bent. Docks, sea walls and channel edges main areas to target the snook. Fly angler enjoyed great sight fishing action targeting docks lights at night.
The silver king action is great morning and evening using live baits and DOA Terror Eyz and Baitbusters. The tarpon are cruising channel edges and mangrove shorelines. The average size of the tarpon ranges from 10 to 40 pounds.
The grass flats and channel edges are teaming with snapper, jacks, ladyfish, drum and sheepshead. Live baits and popping corks best method to get the rods bent.
Freshwater action for largemouth bass has been great on Lake Okeechobee and local lakes and canals using DOA C.A.L. 4" jerk baits weedless and rigged texas style. Peacock bass and clown knife are abundant in local lakes using live bait and Rapala twitch baits for best success.
