Spring bite Palm Beach is heating up

Capt. Craig Korczynski

Palm Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Beautiful sunny days and perfect sea conditions, you could not ask for anything more as a fisherman. Fun in the sun is the mind set for all boaters.

Inshore anglers are finding fantastic snook fishing during the day as well as night. The snook can be found near sea walls and docks ambushing baits as they pass by. Live baits work great especially at night, presenting explosive action as snook are seen inhaling baits. Live shrimp, greenies and mullet are all great choices. Artificial lures also work great under the lights, anything shiny produces hits, small jigs also get the snook excited.

The grass flats early in the morning are producing a mixed bag of species for many anglers. Snook trout, ladyfish, snapper, sheepshead, and many others keep the rod bent and drag screaming. This fishing is great for kids and novice anglers, as there is always something chewing on the other end of the line. Live shrimp and mullet are great choices as well as doa shrimp.

Freshwater canals are exploding with peacock bass action jigs and live baits entice these beauties to strike. Peacocks on are beds and many of the fish can be seen making for exciting sight fishing action.

Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope everybody enjoyed. Remember you cant catch them from the couch. So get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines! Capt. Craig Korczynski, 561-644-4371, PhlatsInshoreFishing.com
