Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

I haven't been this excited about a spanish run in years. To all my fly fishermen.....get your butt's down here...it is a fly fishermans dream right now!
If you don't fly fish then you do what Joe, Herbert and Mike did with me this morning; throw bubble rigs at spanish all over the bay. At one point this morning before the wind started howling you coulc literally see fish breaking every where you looked and as far as you could see! We caught close to sixty and that was with an hour and half break to chase some trout in West Bay and an hour looking for cobia.
We caught a lot of trout on DOA and popping cork, all were short and scattered. That bite should be good in about two weeks.
No reason to go fishing and not catch fish right now, there are fish everywhere ready to eat.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Spanish thick.
Cobia run will get heavy soon.
Trout and reds are staging on the flats.
Pompano along the beach.
Bull reds and sheeps in the pass. Sheeps for another week or two.

Target Species:

Spring is here....let's go fishing!
