Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Finally! Welcome to Florida....hot and sweaty on Thursday, heat comes on Saturday. To say that we had a big weather change is an understatement. Hope all of you guys that emailed me this week about fishing the bay found an "out of the way" place with some fish in it. Standing on my porch looks like the bay is ripping with some big winds, seas and whitecaps.
Glad to be in the deer stand with a sharp stick in my hand this morning but not a dee to be seen. No worries, there are a lot of deer where I hunt.
Yesterday was interesting. One tide, high winds and cooling temps. We just wanted to catch some fish, feel a pull but not worry about bringing anything home. We caught lot's of blues and ladies. Managed a big redfish and then a few flounder later on.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

This weekend should be a bomb, stay at the house. Startind Tuesday, or so, the fishing should pick up. Trout on the move along with the reds. Spanish bite in the bay hot. Bluefish getting hotter and bigger. Big schools of bonita in and around the pass. Big reds in the pass.
Last but not least, what we have all been waiting to happen; the flounder migration should start.
Target Species:

Fishing is good. The colder temps should trigger some agressive behaviour in many species. Should be great thru November.
