Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Better get out your long johns 'cause this November is as cold as I've seen in a lont time. Up around the steam plant canal the fish are keeping warm. We have been taking lots of trout, reds and jacks with relative ease since the fronts have been moving through. Catching a lot of fish on four inch curly tails.
Flounder are on the move. Good reports coming in from my friends and we have put some nice ones in the boat. Bouncing grubs in the deep sandy spots around the island and pass is the way to go. Don't be suprised if you pick up some bigger fish this week as they are normally the last to move.
Winter fishing is good in the bayous and creeks with sub surface baits and live shrimp. Warren Bayou (steam plant canal) is closed for keeping fish until March 1, 2009.
DUCK SEASON
There was a lot of shooting on the lake opening morning and day two. We took 17 birds on Saturday and 11 on Sunday to include woodies, ringers, both green and blue winged teal, gray ducks and widgeon. If the cold weather holds up the hunting should be good all season.
Last, I've been taking a little time to deer hunt this year. Love to bow hunt. I waited until the last weekend to take this doe. I have a place set up for bow hunting only and see many deer each day. I have only seen one button buck and 4 point with exception to the 10 to 15 does I see almost every time I sit my stand. I passed on the two small bucks, taking this big doe the last weekend.

Sorry only one picture this post. I dropped my camera and am looking for the right camera/deal before I purchase another. If you have a suggestion as to what you think I should get, send me an email.
