Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

The rain is welcomed in the area. Getting rain can cool the water temps and the air making a day of fishing most enjoyable. Seems like it's been a lot of yearS since we had afternoon storms or morning "pop up storms" as we have had this summer. We have been dodging them all summer long. Today my good luck caught up with me and we got soaked.
Barry and BJ didn't melt although it rained hard enough to clean the streets while we were out. We caught a few small reds to start and then missed some bigger fish later. We hit a ledge putting 20 spanish in the boat quickly. Even though we were wet the bite was good. Didn't want to take out the camera during all of the rain so this is the only picture today.

I will be in N. Georgia, fly fishing for trout, later in the week. My house sitter will not be able to book trips for me so if you want to book a trip call my cell phone. I have a few days available next week, more during the rest of August.
Panama City Fishing Forecast:

You can start looking for reds to starting to bunch up in schools. I have spotted several big groups over the last week. If you don't have live bait try the new Booyah Samuri spinner baits for reds. Great bait.
Spanish are thick in the bay.
Kings offshore.
Target Species:
