Another Epic Day Fishing in Panama City, FL

Capt. Todd Jones
August 8, 2014
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

What a great morning! The bait was easy to catch, only had to throw the net a couple of times and had several hundred pilchards for the live well. To top that off we ran across a floating clump of Rosso Cane with several hindered Chicken Dolphin under it. What a blast on light tackle spinning rods. We had four on at a time for an hour. Once we had our fill of that I caught us some big Spanish Sardines and it was off to catch Amberjacks. Every bait we tossed out turned into a 30+ inch Amberjack. With all the Dolphin we already had they chose to only keep 3 of the 6 we boated.

More Fishing Reports:

Capt. Todd has been fishing the Gulf Coast for over 40 years and guiding for 30 years. He is a second generation fishing guide. While serving his country for 22 years as a Navy Diver he was able to fish all over the world. In his travels he has fished the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, as well as the Mediterranean and the Sea of Cortez. But in his opinion nothing compares to the diversity we have here in the Emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
