Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Finally! Get a nice day without heavy wind or rain. Ended up in the pass catching some good sheeps. Had a couple of reds on but lost them. I was happy to see the sheephead bite is still on and the redfish in the pass are still busting a bait. We saw some good keeper redfish landed today on other boats. We also put a couple of nice black snaps in the boat this afternoon.

This afternoon we went into some bayous catching a few black drum and puppy reds. The water is brown with a lot of fresh water mixed in. The bay is flushing very nicely and the bite is wanting to turn and should any day. Get you gear ready...the second half of April and May should be hot for all species.

Along the beach the cobia are hard to see due to the flushing of the bay. Hopefully it will clean up soon. As a friend of mine complained the other day "it's been windy and rough most days and now the waters all brown and nasty...three weeks of cobia is shot". We can hope that is clears and fishing gets better the next three weeks.
Panama City Fishing Forecast:

As the water clears all of the fishing should improve dramatically.
Target Species:

Reds, trout...spanish and cobia when the water clears. Pompano along the beach.
