Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Been outside a lot with one of my clients a lot lately. On two seperate trips to the whistle buoy we put a total of around 30 kings in the boat along with this #25 fish and the four from this morning.
I haven't spent much time chasing trout lately but when we do we catch up to 100 in a few hours on popping corks with DOA's below them. New penny and the silver with black eyes seem to work best. Good luck trying to find them. Bass Pro in Destin probably carries them.

The big spanish are still cruising the bay and will continue through the end of summer and well into fall. A net full of bait and eight pound line are the right combination for a box full of spanish that scream line like nothing else around here.

Make sure you call ten days to two weeks prior to your stay in Panama City because I'm having a hard time accomodating everyone that wants to fish with me. The St. Andrews Guides Association is a group of local guides, all competent and I can hook you up with one if I'm booked. Look for our new website in the near future at: Panamacityfloridafishingguides.com
Panama City Fishing Forecast:

The big trout are starting to show up. We catch a lot in 20" plus range just about every day we fish for them. The really big dogs will be arriving very soon. Reds are here and there, been picking up a few on topwater and live bait.
This has been a great year for big spanish in the bay along with kings just outside.
I don't expect anything to change over the next couple of months.
Target Species:
