Great fishing season in Panama City Florida

Capt. James Pic
July 6, 2012
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Been a year for a lot of big fish. No, not giant trout, 28 inch fish and better, but good fish. Reds are easy to find some days.
The shark bite has been great, jumping a lot of black tips.
Spanish are the biggest I have ever seen along with the bluefish.
Bait has been hard to get this year. I don't mind making a run to get them because that's what it takes. I have also been doing well with artificial baits, catching a lot of trout and reds on DOA Shrimp.
If you fished with a guide that cant, or won't get bait, your fishing with the wrong guy. Some can't fish artificials and are lost without live bait. There are some of us that can do both. August should be good for bait because of all the babies we see each day.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Awesome! Fish with me, catch fish.

Target Species:

Everything is biting.

More Fishing Reports:

Sight casting fly and spinning for reds, trout, bonita, spanish, jacks and many other species. Live bait trips available as well as hot topwater action in the bay around Panama City, Florida. Depending on the time of the year I can normally put you on legal grouper in the bay, monster speckled trout, lot's of fly fishing action and just about everything else that swims and good tablefare.
