Kids Snapper and Cobia...

Capt. Jason Giles

Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Had two again today. I had Charlie Foell and family this morning. 5th year client. They wanted a little table fare and a lot of action.

We hit my closest snapper spot and then ran the beaches. We were wacking on the shipjacks and bluefish when I saw a 4 pack of cobia just crusing to the east. We moved in and hooked two. The first one came off the jig but we laned the other.

For my afternoon trip I had Rich Lane. The wind totally stopped and the current off shore slowed. I had to reanchor 5 times. The last time I pulled up the anchor I got to feeling really off my norm. Rich told me my lips were white. I almost fell to the deck. I set the GPS for the pass and made it back to the dock. The heat got the best of me finally. Running two to three trips a day will where you down. I have rescheduled them for Saturday afternoon. Sorry gang! I'm taking Endurolytes tomarrow! They are made for people that do tri-athelons. A person just can't drink enough water anymore and work the way I do.
