KITES and SMOKE…Smoking drags that is!

Capt. Todd Jones
October 2, 2014
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

We spent the last several trips flying the kite. Until you have experienced the explosion of a big King Mackerel on a threadfin herring suspended below a kite just splashing on the surface of the water… you just don't know what you have been missing. Capt. Justin and I have had just about every game fish around come in to the kite this week. We have caught or hooked Sailfish, King Mackerel, Cero Mackerel, Giant Spanish( big enough to gaff), Black fin Tuna, and Cobia.

This is about the most fun you can have fishing. Even when you do not get the fish on the line, it is a rush just watching it skyrocket on the baits. If you would like to try this action packed fishing for yourself gives us a call.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Grouper should start moving in close as the water temp. starts to fall.

Kite fishing is just starting to heat up. The Sailfish bite will pick up as the fall progresses.

More Fishing Reports:

Capt. Todd has been fishing the Gulf Coast for over 40 years and guiding for 30 years. He is a second generation fishing guide. While serving his country for 22 years as a Navy Diver he was able to fish all over the world. In his travels he has fished the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, as well as the Mediterranean and the Sea of Cortez. But in his opinion nothing compares to the diversity we have here in the Emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
