Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

This is my time of the year. We found a lot of bait today...ten days from being big enough to use, but bait all the same. The trout and reds are out and about, ready to play...any gamers out there?
Everybody has their thing, some it's cobia, some it's spanish and blues in a chum line and then there's me....big trout all summer long. When you have fished these bays as long as I you just kind of know where they will be during the summer. That's why each year close to thirty fish in the #5 range and bigger are put into my boat. I expect a half dozen in the #8 plus range, maybe you will be the one that gets one of those. My biggest trout every, caught on a Zara Puppy a few years ago, was 31" estimated 11lbs. caught in August. We had some good fish early last year and late. If trout is your thing, you want to book with me. Along with the trout come the reds.
When Ray set up his trip for the week he told me he needed some trout for the freezer. We are alot alike; trout, redfish, flounder, a few of our favorite fish. I knew it was close to time for the trout to be on the move. Even with the crappy weather of the last week and the stained water, we found them and beat thier butts. We had a bunch of keeper fish and a lot of throw backs.

Last weekend I took a great couple from Georgia. Even though we had a sporty wind and tough conditions they hung with and caught some fish giving us some big smiles. Thank you for your service Derrick see you when you get back from Iraq.
