Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

This is my favorite time to fish. There is something for everybody. Yesterday I had a group that wanted to fill a box with spanish and enough bluefish for a "hook and cook" at J. Michaels on the beach. I don't know what Dan and Rachel are doing with the blues out there but a lot of clients take fish for hook and cook at J. Mike's. With the spanish and such you have to bring "4lb. Ray" into the mix with us getting a box full this morning, giving them away to some friends. Ray also landed an African Pompano today.

Ray with african pompano.

I had over a dozen slams on the boat last week. A N. Florida slam is trout, red, flounder. This time of year you can catch all three in the same spots if you know where to go. The flounder bite has been decent with some nice big fish being taken. You can't beat flounder for eating.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Fishing is on fire and should remain that way thru November unless it gets super cold.
Target Species:

Flounder, trout and reds. Spanish and blues in large numbers on the drops.
