Good mixed bag in Panama City!!

Capt. Mark Bosler
June 11, 2011
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Snapper season has opened and there are plenty of big red snappers to catch in the 15 to 20 lb range. Along with the snapper we are catching some really nice black snappers and some big red groupers to go along with them. Inshore the tarpon have started to show up in good numbers along the beach. We are still catching some pompano and whiting as well. The mackeral bite has been a little slow but should improve over the next couple of weeks. Finally moving into the bay. The redfish bite has been really good early morning and late afternoon on the incoming and outgoing tides along with speckled trout. All in all fishing is really good right now here and I look for it to improve throughout the summer and into the fall. Stay safe out there and as always tight lines and good fishing.

Target Species:

mixed bag
