Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Don't believe anything you hear about oil around Panama City. Last info I received it was 95 miles from Pensacola which puts it over 150 from us. The southeast, east and north winds have kept it away. I have to say, god has been smiling on us with the wind direction...maybe he likes the beach, or some of the people that live here. Which ever it is, thank you.
I was humbled this morning. I forget that some folks can't do as well with the gear as others. With small baits everywhere it's frustrating trying to give a crash course on catching big trout and reds on artificial. Lot's of pushing water and working fish this morning but for various reasons we were unable to get them.
We did, however, manage a great bit of spanish and blues on some spoons later in the morning. The water is clearing and the fishing continues to get better.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

This is the time for big trout, the reds come with them.
Spanish and blues in the big bay.
Bait is a week to ten days away from being abundant.
Tarpon are starting to cruise the beach.
Target Species:

Everything is here with new fish arriving daily.
