Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sorry for the late report and I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The fishing here has been great, plenty of bull reds in the deeper water on live baits and the Redfish in shallow water have been very cooperative. The hot water canal is full of trout, catch and release only, but still fun to go catch. Berkley gulp shrimp patterns have been very productive for me. As for the fly fishing, the water has been stained from all the rain we had so I've been using anything with gold flash for the Redfish and white clouser's for the trout. Since my last report I had the opportunity to spend some time in Key West. Only got to fish two days because of the weather, but did manage to get some shots on some tailing Permit. All in all, that place is great and I can't wait to go back, it went by way to fast, especially since we spent a whole day scouting. That's alright because now we know right where to go!!!! I included some pics from my trip so I hope you enjoy them. Thanks again Captain Kyle Pitts
