Panama City Beach Cobia Fishing.

Capt. Jason Giles
March 23, 2011
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Well there enough fish around for me to feel good about running a Cobia Charter. The forecast today was for sloppy seas so I moved todays trip to Friday with better weather conditions. I jumped on a big boat that has a big tower with friends today. There should be 2 more fish in this picture. Things happen and it's all part of fishing.

We saw way more than we caught, and yes it was fun. Cobia fishing may not be for everyone. It takes a lot of time riding and looking. You have to put your time in. This is not a fishing trip for people looking for fast action or small kids. It's like hunting, you have to wait till you see them.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Sheepshead and Black drum in St. Andrews Pass. There are a few schools of red fish along the beaches, most are bulls and would take some stealth to catch(sight fish only). I haven't seen any pompano but a few have been caught. Cobia are showing in fare to good numbers.
