Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Another great day of fishing. The gulf was a little rough but the new Balzer Bay diced right through it. Plenty of fish busting live chum again. The first fish to eat was a barely legal Cobia. I wasn't sure about him so we used the dip net that I use in the pass for bull reds. 33.5 at the fork. Mark and Leroy had never tasted one so I put him on ice.

The Amberjack we happy to play today too. We caught and released about 10 of them. Half were undersized, and the others were keepers.

We had some kings sky-rocket on the live chum too.

Say what you must about circle hooks, but we didn't have any wire on and caught a few.

The wind really started to pick up so we headed in. We had time to catch something smaller. I was just going for anything.....trout, shark, spanish, but no luck on and oyster bar point. We were going to head back to the dock but Leroy asked if I had anything close by. I know a few spots. As I was drifting in to the spot another guide decided he needed to fish it more than me. We had caught plenty and were ready for a cheeseburger anyway.
Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Offshore fishing is good but the gulf is getting a little bumpy for my boat. I really haven't fished the bay much but I believe the tides will be more favorable in this next week.
