Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today was opening day of early teal and wood duck season. We are fortunate to be one of the few states that has the priviledge to have this early season.
I had a group of three guys, two of which from Vancouver Washiington here to visit thier duck hunting buddy stationed out at Tyndall AFB.
We hunted a good spot seeing lot's of ducks. After they knocked the cobb webs off they managed to drop a mixed bag of teal and woodies totaling ten birds.
Looks like we are going to have a fun next few days. Season ends on Wednesday.

After the hunt we hit the bay for some fishing. Even though the water is nasty from all the rain up north and we have a significant amoung of fresh water running out of the bay we managed a few fish. Trout were biting early. We picked up some flounder and blues. Good day on the water.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Fishing is good and should continue through November.
I hope to start seriously targeting flounder over the next few weeks. If you like catching and eating flounder this is the time to think about a fishing trip.
Teal and wood duck season runs through Wednesday. I have no days available. Opening day of regular season is normally the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving.
Target Species:

Fishing is good and should ramain that way for all species through November.
