Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report
The weather has been just about perfect the last few days…windy, rainy, and cold! Perfect for duck hunting that is. We have been shooting lots of Divers since the season came back in on Saturday. Redheads, Bluebills, and Buffleheads have been in abundance on the bays.
I cannot say we have killed a limit every hunt, but we certainly have had the opportunity. Lots of ducks in the decoys have made it thru the gauntlet of gunners. One lucky Redhead came back three times and eluded 10 shots without a ruffled feather! That's duck hunting. Maybe we will get him next time.
The fishing is great right now also. Capt. Jason Giles said the Sheepshead were chewing the bottom out of his boat in the pass the other afternoon. Capt. Justin Leake reported a good catch of Redfish the same day. I have been busy with the ducks the last few days, so have not been fishing. Those 3 am mornings are getting tuff.
The fishing and hunting is pretty good right now, so come on down here and get some.
Good luck on the water and in the woods. Remember to be courteous to others. Especially on public waters, they belong to all of us.
I think a wise man once said treat others as you would like to be treated.
