Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

This last week has been great for catching BIG FISH! Cobia are showing up in much larger groups traveling with huge schools of rays. These fish seem to be very hungry and eating everything you throw at them. Along with the Cobia, Jack Crevel have arrived in giant schools along the beach. They are not good table fair, but are a great sport fish (especially on light tackle) they are a powerful fish and make long drag burning runs. We sight fish for them just like the Cobia. They will eat the same jigs and live bait so when we come up on the schools everything is ready. We have landed several nice Cobia this week as well as a dozen or so Jacks.
There is plenty of Spanish mackerel, Blue fish, and Lady Fish along the beach to keep steady action while looking for Cobia.
Sorry no pictures this report my SD card got wet and I am having problems getting the pictures off.
Good luck on the water,
Capt. Todd Jones
