Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report
Wow guys we have sure had some good weather lately and with it some great fishing. We have been running off shore quite a bit lately dropping jigs for amberjack and rudder jacks and gag grouper
dead baits for red grouper and scamp
and catching lots of bee-liners, white snapper, trigger fish and other species.
If you're tired of freezing your butts off get down here with temperatures 65 to 70 degrees it's ideal for fishing and the fish are chewing the bottom out of the boat!!!!! Not even to mention the hotels offer big discounts this time of year so if you're looking for a great fishing trip with small crowds beautiful beaches cheap hotels this is the time of year to be here!!!!!!
By the way I am now making my own butterfly jigs if you would like to purchase some from me for $6 dollars apiece instead of paying $10 to $18 dollars at the tackle store i have many colors to choose from or i can custom make them for you. I also make buck tails for Cobia for $8 All are holographic and catch lots of fish!!!!! Just ask captain Todd Jones from back bay adventures.

Inshore; Red fish and blue fish and sheep head in the pass. Trout in the canals and redfish on the flats.
Offshore; amberjacks and rudder jacks are chewing the bottom out of the boat. Red grouper has been good white snapper, vermilion snapper, trigger fish and scamp is great!!!! Time to go fishing and get out of the cold for a wile!!!!!!
Panama City Fishing Forecast:
The fishing should just get better from here on out march should be great sheep head should start moving in to the pass in large numbers. April should bring back the pelagic's cobia, kings and spanish. I for one can't wait!!!!!
