Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Left the dock at early thirty with Judd, Tom and Chandler. Guess what they wanted to catch? Same as everyone else. As we eased into the first spot, startled and spooked reds left wakes everywhere. We loaded up the 8# rods with the big ly's I've been fishing with and made short order of the first red caught by Judd.

Next up, Tom, laid back and buckling the rod double. Put that bad boy in the boat after an extended fight.

Chandler stood quietly in the back of the boat losing fish. We finally managed to get him hooked up with the biggest fish of the morning coming in at 26 3/4". Not to be outdone a couple of minutes later he bowed up with another monster coming in at 29". Slow start, big finish.

Then we have the "end of the day shot":

We hit some flats using popping corks and DOA's with some good results, catching plenty of trout and non stop action.
Speaking of trout, check out my upcoming article in the June issue of Woods and Water: Big Trout Tactics. Hopefully it will help you catch some bigger fish next time you go out.
I am pleased to announce the I am the Hobie Sunglass guide for the area. Any of my past or future customers that want to fish with the same glasses I wear at a substantial discount, let me know and I will hook you up.
Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Reds and trout are abundant. Sharks have moved into the bay early this year and the kings have show up off the beach. Shaping up to be a great year. Give me a call and let me show what I can do.
Target Species:

All the players are here. All species are available.
