Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Another good day for the fishermen...bad for the fish, sheepshead to be exact. "4lb Ray", taking his first trip of the year, had to get on some of that sheepshead action before the spanish run get's into full swing.
We caught some nice fish, some more than five pounds. One of my BFF's had a legal spanish while his clients were catching sheeps just a few feet away from us. Ray and I also worked a school of feeding spanish in the bay later in the morning.
Southeast should blow today and tomorrow bringing the spanish into the area along with some cobia. Next few weeks should be hot!
I scaled and gutted a nice sheep yesterday afternoon. I took special care to clean out the belly cavity and clean the skin of the fish. I cut some slices in both sides, filled them with butter, garlic, dried mustard, celery salt, and pepper. I then baked it at 350 till finished....talk about good, make you want to slap yo momma! Try it, sheepshead are very good to eat.

First legal spanish of the year!
