Red Snapper Fishing in Panama City, FL

Capt. Todd Jones
April 29, 2014
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Bet I got your attention with that title. The weather has taken a 180 from last week. I am sitting here at the computer answering emails about the upcoming Snapper season, looks like it will be a busy one. So I decided to post a few pictures of some of the Snapper we have been catching on Light Tackle spinning rods the last several weeks. With only being able to keep 2 Red Snapper it really makes them worth it when you catch them on the same Light Tackle we use for Sheepshead fishing. What a great fight on 15# braid and 20# fluorocarbon.

The Red Snapper season starts May 24 and ends July 14 this year. It will be here before you know it. I want to catch some of these tasty fish give us a call.

Be safe and courteous on the water.

More Fishing Reports:

Capt. Todd has been fishing the Gulf Coast for over 40 years and guiding for 30 years. He is a second generation fishing guide. While serving his country for 22 years as a Navy Diver he was able to fish all over the world. In his travels he has fished the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, as well as the Mediterranean and the Sea of Cortez. But in his opinion nothing compares to the diversity we have here in the Emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
