Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Quick update on the ducks. Deerpoint will have a draw down starting January 4. 2005. There are some mallards, wigeon and gadwalls on the lake along with the usual large amount of woodies. Wimico is duckless as of the beginning of the week, what a disappointment. Seminole is still hot with some big flocks of geese.
This weeks bag includes gadwalls, woodies, green wing teal, blue bills (greaters), redheads, a couple of mallards and another can. There are lots of buffleheads on the bay but we don't brag about shooting them. I hunt several lakes within 75 miles of Panama City. If I can't give you more than buffleheads, I'll tell you to stay home. Somedays are better than others but I will never get excited over buffleheads. Hire a real duck guide, one that puts the time in to scout and finds the birds. Then again, there are some guides that can only do that.
Reds in the pass along with the winter blues and bonita. Steam plant is hot, all species of fish. Bayous and creeks hot for trout and reds.
