Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Panama City/NW Florida
The westerly breezes have finally given us a break and some south and east winds have blown.
The last few weeks have been interesting to say the least. We have had tarpon blow up on topwater and come into the chum lines in the bay along with big sharks of several varieties.
Spent a day at crooked island, catching reds, trout, blues, big spanish and looking at tarpon. The water is crystal clear and beautiful.
Back in St. Andrews Bay we have been catching a lot of pompano and flounder in the bay this year...this too, I attribute to the clear water. Trout have been thickening up on the flats along with the reds. We have finally started catching those big "line burner" spanish in chum line, had six or seven yesterday over five pounds..talk about fun. All in all fishing is very good right now and I expect it to continue.
Went into the gulf last week king fishing and was suprised at how many and how easy it was to hook them.
King fishermen should have a great year.
If your looking for a guide give me a call, i'll put you on fish.
See you on the water.
JP
