Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Panama City, NW Florida
Flounder are starting to move. Spending a little time on each trip hitting the flounder holes. Had six today and some small ones. A few weeks from now we should be able to load the box with them...yummy!
Reds and trout are still around, we pulled into a slew last week and must have seen 100 tails! Caught a few on the fly and moved on. Been leaving the camera at home due to all of the rain but will try and get some more pictures of the big reds.
Been going offshore, catching bonita (little tunny) on the fly. They haven't been as thick as years past just like the fall spanish run. Been a strange year.
We have been running into some big jacks lately, along the beach, Crooked Island and up in West Bay. Tim Creasy had two twenty pound fish hit his Top Dog Jr. before the second one broke him off....too bad, maybe next time.
DUCK SEASON
Early teal and wood duck season is next weekend; September 22-27. I have one available day left for charter if anyone is interested. Saw several big flocks this morning heading east along the coast. One flock was seventy strong.
My grandmother will be getting her captains license soon which means there will be one more part time guide out there. She's probably as good or better than most. :)
Good luck and see you on the water.
