Rule number three: catch fish and have fun....

Capt. James Pic
July 30, 2009
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

If you want to know what rule number one and two are....either fish with me or ask Margeret and Lisa.
These two ladies were in town for a little R&R and some fishing. Both could fish so after they made a few adjustments to the equipment it was on. We caught some fine trout early:

Then we some reds:

We headed out to the ledges to see if we could get some spanish and blues to complete the "quadfecta". Lisa managed to get a nice spanish and some blues getting here qaud. Although Margeret held in there, trying to get that spanish, it wasn't meant to be and she was one spanish short of a full load.......
It was a great day with some great clients. Kids are not the only people that can catch fish!
I have some days available in August for those that want to get some good fish. I will be out of town some next week, fishing for trout in the N. Georgia mountains. I won't be posting any reports while I'm gone but will post when I get back.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Trout bite is turning on. We had one 25" fish and another 22" fish this morning. These big fish will be easier and easier to catch as the summer comes to a close. Reds are starting to bunch up.
Spanish and blues will remain on the ledges.
The black tip sharks are starting to show up in the bay.
Fishing is getting super hot.

Target Species:

Anything that swims

More Fishing Reports:

Sight casting fly and spinning for reds, trout, bonita, spanish, jacks and many other species. Live bait trips available as well as hot topwater action in the bay around Panama City, Florida. Depending on the time of the year I can normally put you on legal grouper in the bay, monster speckled trout, lot's of fly fishing action and just about everything else that swims and good tablefare.
