Shark Fishing in Panama City Florida/Special Snapper Season

Capt. James Pic
August 9, 2013
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Lately I have had a few guys wanting to shark fish. I've been doing this with people for the entire time I've been a guide, 20 years. With that kind of shark experience you can bet some will come into the boat. I have places where you can watch 20 blacktips swim around the boat certain times of the year. Hooking one every cast. If you want to catch a shark, call me.

The king bite has been good and we have started picking up some grouper near shore.

Last, there is going to be a limited snapper season beginning the first of October. Grouper and snapper will be legal to take at the same time and anyone who fished with me last October limited on grouper just about every time. Call early to get your spot.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Sharks inshore...kings, AJ's, grouper just off the beach.
Trout and redfish on the flats.

Target Species:

everything is biting

More Fishing Reports:

Sight casting fly and spinning for reds, trout, bonita, spanish, jacks and many other species. Live bait trips available as well as hot topwater action in the bay around Panama City, Florida. Depending on the time of the year I can normally put you on legal grouper in the bay, monster speckled trout, lot's of fly fishing action and just about everything else that swims and good tablefare.
