Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

It's spring break this week which means my nephew, Jared is out of school along with my school teacher girlfriend. I took a day for us, messing around with the spanish and looking for a cobia.
As I have been saying the last few days the spanish bite is on fire. We caught 45 in just a couple of hours. Everyone on the boat caught fish including a couple of friends we invited along with Jareds mom, Lori. BTW, Lori, good to see you and have you on the boat.
After the spanish we hit the gulf to see about a cobia. I haven't caught one this year and refuse to put old pictures up. When we get one I'll post a photo. We had a 40 pound fish swim within a few feet heading west, unfortunately we were headed east and it was bumpy. He dove, I whipped it around to see if I could find him but between the cloud cover and the 2-3 chop we couldn't; no luck.
We messed around for a little longer but with the sea's building and the wind stiffening I decided to bring it back into the bay. Next week should be a good cobia week. I offer a nine hour trip for $500..that's a deal..get a day and give me a call.
