Nothing like a little spanish for Thanksgiving

Capt. James Pic
November 24, 2009
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

The Colemans' from Houston are trying to make "going to the beach" a Thanksgiving Holiday tradition. One of the things they want to do while here is catch a few fish.
The fall spanish run was perfect for the two children, Shawn and Cassidy, having a ball catching them non stop.
Mixed in with the spanish was a few blues and some big reds. We had a forty pound red to the boat before breaking off. We managed to land a 30.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Fall spanish should continue another couple of weeks.
Reds are thick in the pass along with blues and some bonito.
Trout and smaller reds are moving around the mouths of the bayous and creeks.
Ducks have started moving into the area with the colder weather.

Target Species:

Fishing is good. The colder temps has trigggered some agressive behaviour in many species. Should be great thru November.

More Fishing Reports:

Sight casting fly and spinning for reds, trout, bonita, spanish, jacks and many other species. Live bait trips available as well as hot topwater action in the bay around Panama City, Florida. Depending on the time of the year I can normally put you on legal grouper in the bay, monster speckled trout, lot's of fly fishing action and just about everything else that swims and good tablefare.
