Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Been here and there lately. Have a bunch of photo's taken last weekend of redfish caught up in the bay but I can't put them on, lol...due to the background. We fished a spot and caught nine nice reds a few days ago using live shrimp. Sunday, went to the jetties and caught some sheeps and reds. The sheeps don't seem to be on fire just yet but the reds in the pass are picking up. Take a look as one of my favorite clients, Caz Pruitt, holds a few of the fish he caught today for the camera.

Lookin' good Caz...you are the man. Funny thing is there were people all around us but we were the only ones catching fish. Must have been those magic shrimp we bought at the St. Andrews Marina for $4 a dozen.
Last week another regular of mine, Ray Mallory, and I fished in the Steam Plant Canal and caught some really nice trout. That will continue as it warms up.

There are no spanish here as of today and based on my knowledge and records I'm predicting between the 23rd and 26th of March is when they will show up. Get ready. Cobia should be around that time also.
Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Reds and sheeps in the pass. Spanish run will start along with the cobia.
Since reworking my boat with an elevated steering station I am offering all day cobia trips this year. Call for details.
Target Species:

Reds, trout...spanish and cobia later in the month.
