Spring Fishing in Panama City, Florida

Capt. Todd Jones
March 9, 2015
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

What a great weekend it turned out to be. Saturday started out a little cooler than I would have liked but we soon warmed up by reeling in lots of fish.
We started out on some near shore reefs catching Vermilion, White, and Red Snapper as well as a few Triggerfish. After catching a nice mess of Snapper, we headed farther offshore to finish the day off with some Amberjack and Banded Rudderfish.

The water and the weather is starting to warm up and should continue with this trend. Soon the Spanish Mackerel and Cobia will be running the beach.

More Fishing Reports:

Capt. Todd has been fishing the Gulf Coast for over 40 years and guiding for 30 years. He is a second generation fishing guide. While serving his country for 22 years as a Navy Diver he was able to fish all over the world. In his travels he has fished the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, as well as the Mediterranean and the Sea of Cortez. But in his opinion nothing compares to the diversity we have here in the Emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
