Summer fishing still hot, Panama City fall fishing just ahead!

Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Each year around the end of July I start looking ahead to my favorite time of the year to fish...but before we go there heres the latest from the church of "what's happening now!".
Trout bite has been tremendous all summer. No one can do the trout like me so if trout and reds are your thing my boat is where the action is.
The small blues have moved in with the last moon phase. I was invited by Jason to have dinner with his family at the Shrimp Boat a few weeks back. We had the bluefish filets cooked on the grill cajun style and they were outstanding. Shrimp Boat is doing and awesome "hook and cook".
Spanish are all over the bay. There are some really big fish out there this year. Even though the fishing can get tough for some this time of the year we keep throwing them on the deck and in the box.
Looking ahead to the end of August, September and October. Those of you that have fished with me over the years in late summer/early fall know what a great bite it can be. Trout, redfish, flounder just about every day along with spanish, blues, black sea bass, pompano and other species. The bite in the fall is great and we do most of our fish with artificials. Topwater action with the sun coming up, switching over to other artificials when the sun gets up. If you have the chance to come down this fall, do it! Call me...you won't be disappointed.
Heres a few of the highlights from the last few days. As always I can't show all the pictures because some of them have background.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Fall is just around the corner in Panama City Florida. Get your butt's down here for some of that hot action and your chance at a N. Florida slam; trout, redfish, flounder.
August is a great month for big spanish and black tips. The trout and red bite will only get better as less people are on the water with school starting.

Target Species:

Everything is biting.

More Fishing Reports:

Sight casting fly and spinning for reds, trout, bonita, spanish, jacks and many other species. Live bait trips available as well as hot topwater action in the bay around Panama City, Florida. Depending on the time of the year I can normally put you on legal grouper in the bay, monster speckled trout, lot's of fly fishing action and just about everything else that swims and good tablefare.
