Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Matt, Allen and Bill wanted some fly fishing and topwater action this morning. We managed to catch a bunch of shorties on DOA's, fly and Spook Jr's before we went back into St. Andrews bay with some ly's. The west wind was blowing again dirtying up the water making sight fishing tough.
We sat on one of my good trout holes catching five good fish in an hour or so, one close to four pounds.

We caught this one with the others and by the looks of him something else "caught" him. Obviously he managed to get away only to be caught by Allen.

We moved out to get some spanihs action catching a bunch of nice fish, losing even more. We had a big king on, yes in the bay, but he bit through the 50lb. flourocarbon. The bay bite is definitely getting hot with the trout bite heating up along with it. Nobody can put you on more quality trout than I when it comes to fishing around Panama City.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Trout bite is getting hot with the passing of the last spawn phase. Nice catches of both trout and keeper reds are in the immediate future.
Spanish bite is hot.
Kings are thick along the beach.
