Warm Weather… Hot Fishing in Panama City, FL

Capt. Todd Jones
February 25, 2014
Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather was perfect this weekend for Mat and Jennifer. We left Sun Harbor Marina about noon and headed Offshore for an afternoon of non- stop catching.
From the moment they dropped the first jig to the bottom they stayed hooked up. I am not sure how many Amberjacks, Banded Rudderfish and Almaco Jacks they caught, I lost count after about 20 or so.

They continued to double up on every drop for 3 hours straight. They both finally cried uncle so we headed back to marina with 4 fat Rudder Fish for them to put on the grill that night. The fishing is outstanding this time of year. You don't even have to break a sweat while catching all these fish.

Good luck on the water and in the woods,

More Fishing Reports:

Capt. Todd has been fishing the Gulf Coast for over 40 years and guiding for 30 years. He is a second generation fishing guide. While serving his country for 22 years as a Navy Diver he was able to fish all over the world. In his travels he has fished the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, as well as the Mediterranean and the Sea of Cortez. But in his opinion nothing compares to the diversity we have here in the Emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
