Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

A lot of my regs that didn't make the trip during the summer due to the oil scare, have been showing up for some great fishing this fall.
As a lot of you know I take a lot of kids, which I enjoy, couple of my fav's were on the boat last week a couple of days. First day it blew hard making the fishing a little tough. The whether laid toward the end of the week bringing a big day for Seth and Doug. You can see a vieo on my facebook page of some good action with these to fishermen. Nothing like a couple of big smiles to make the day for everyone.

The weekend rolled in with a couple of more returnee's for a little more serious fishing. First day was all about the flounder. I'm here to report that there is no shortage of lizardfish this year. Yes, we caught some nice flatties but we caught a trash can full of lizards. They can beat the crap out of a bag of Gulps. Next day they decided to see what Crooked Island Sound was about. We caught some great trout, couple of small flounder and a bunch of other fish including big blues and such.

Today was Keith Tate from Columbus Ga., another long timer. Keith likes to read fishing reports from around the area....he fishes with me.
After catching a bunch of big spanish, blues, ladyfish and such we decided to do a little flounder fishing. Flounder, well legal flounder, didn't cooperate but we did manage to bag some nice specs.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Fishing is awesome right now. There are many species, big ones, to catch. The great thing about fall is you never know what your going to run up on.
The flounder run is starting, although a trickle, you can catch a few fish here and there. That should improve with each day peaking some time around the end of the month.
The big reds are in the pass.
For the duck hunters; have new, nice and roomy, duck boat. We always find ducks this year it will be a little easier and comfortable.
Target Species:

Flounder in the near future. All other species are biting.
