Weather can play a big part in the fishing......

Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

That old saying "a bad day of fishihg is better than a good day in the office" is probably more accurate than most people will ever know. A bad day of fishing can be a lot of different things. With me, a bad day is one or two good trout or reds with a bunch of small fish scattered in between. Could mean some sharks and a few spanish with a bunch of small fish scattered in between. The key is "the small fish scattered in between"....for instance, today we had a bunch of just undersize reds which are always a lot of fun on light tackle. Yesterday the wind blew hard and fishing was tough but we caught a bunch of blues and spanish with a bunch of five to ten pound sharks mixed in.
Yesterday was a low lifting through the area bring high winds, today was a north wind and cool temps to start the day. As always, we plug away to make sure that your trip is always better than a good day in the office.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Trout are once again on the spawn and will scatter in a few days. Reds are on the flats and in all the regular spots. There are a lot of little reds this year so make sure you handle with care when releasing them.
Spanish are still piling into the bay along with the blues. Blues have been bigger this year than in years past.
King fishing is good off the beach with an occasional mahi mahi for table fare and bonito for a pull.

Target Species:

All the players are here. All species are available.

More Fishing Reports:

Sight casting fly and spinning for reds, trout, bonita, spanish, jacks and many other species. Live bait trips available as well as hot topwater action in the bay around Panama City, Florida. Depending on the time of the year I can normally put you on legal grouper in the bay, monster speckled trout, lot's of fly fishing action and just about everything else that swims and good tablefare.
