Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

Yesterday had to be one of the toughest fishing days I have seen in a long time. Yes, as always, we caught fish but nothing to write home to mom about. We fished close enough to another guide who told us his day was tough also...he had talked to two other guides, one having such a bad day he was threatening to go home and sell his boat.
I contemplated my day of fishing for Monday all through the evening. Carl and Miles along with big Carl and nephew, Nigel, were due in for another round of catching. I formulated a plan waking up this morning to a brisk West wind. We stopped off at the bait hole picking up some big ly's and headed to East Bay where we proceeded to have a productive day. The trout bite was good with Miles putting the first keeper in the boat fairly quick. We caught a fish here and there.

Miles then got him a big post spawn trout:

Nigel got him a post spawn trout:

Then a nice red:

I was a good trip. I had to work for the trout, but if anyone is going to put you on big trout and reds around here it's going to be me.

I have half of July booked. I will not run any trips on Saturdays until the end of August. If you want to fish with me I suggest you book now especially since I'm only running Sunday thru Friday. Six hour is the way to go. If you want trout and reds let me know when you call.
Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Post spawn trout in the secret holes. Trout on the flats alog with the reds.
Spanish bite is good when the wind blows any direction except west.
Kings off the beach when we can get to them.
Target Species:

Trout and reds until the wind and weather changes a little.
