A lot of wind can effect the fishing.

Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather man said light and variable today. The wind conditions were far from that with a stiff southeast wind blowing ahead of the approaching cold front.
Days like today are tough for fishing. You can't drift the flats because you move to fast, can't really sight fish and with the wind at 15 to 20 it's hard to fish some of my best spots.
My guys hung in there for the first couple of hours having a lot of spanish, bluefish and ladyfish action. Some of the bluefish are really big making for a great pull on light tackle.
We hit another spot for a few more blues and spanish a bonus flounder and trout. Fishing continues to be good, you just have to work at it and make adjustments for the wind.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

When the cold front passes the fishing should really get good. There were some big schools of bonito in the pass last week which can be a lot of fun on the fly or light tackle. The big redfish bite is also going to start.
Spanish and blues will be throughout the bay through November.
Flounder are on the move.

Target Species:

Fishing is good and should ramain that way for all species through November.

More Fishing Reports:

Sight casting fly and spinning for reds, trout, bonita, spanish, jacks and many other species. Live bait trips available as well as hot topwater action in the bay around Panama City, Florida. Depending on the time of the year I can normally put you on legal grouper in the bay, monster speckled trout, lot's of fly fishing action and just about everything else that swims and good tablefare.
