Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather was beautiful again this weekend. Hopefully this is how the spring and summer will turn out after the cold winter we had. Some people take a Sunday ride in the country, but at our house this time of year we take a ride in the Gulf to catch dinner and get a good workout.
As you can see from the pictures that is what we did.

The fish hit on every drop of the jigs! I barely got the boat stopped and all three of us were hooked up on Rudderfish and Amberjack. Our trip only lasted about 45 minutes and we had all the fish we could eat and wanted to catch, for that matter. We ended up catching about 20 Rudderfish, 10 Amberjacks, and 2 Almaco Jacks. We headed home to clean fish and eat some fresh fish for dinner. If this sounds like fun, then give me a call. No need to wake up early this time of year. Sleep in, have a late breakfast, and let's go catch some fish.
Good luck on the water and in the woods,
Capt. Todd Jones
