Cold front specks and reds – Mega-Bite Inshore Charters

Pensacola - Saltwater Fishing Report

Cold front specks and reds – Mega-Bite Inshore Charters

I'm hoping this is one of the last major cold fronts; I'm ready for spring and a little warmer temps. With temps close to 30 degrees in the morning and an incoming tide all day this week it doesn't hurt to wait till around 9am to splash the boat. This will give the fish a chance to move up on the flats and start warming themselves, and me an extra couple hours of shuteye.
With lots of wind and rain a couple of days back I was not able to get out. This week's patterns will be waiting for the sun to come up a bit, and fishing in depths from 2-6 ft on muddy bottoms, and tossing scented soft plastics and suspending twitch baits.

As I have reported in my last few reports, Spring Break is not far off, which in turn means big sheepshead, redfish, snapper, grouper and more. It's a plethora of fish and tons of fun, and lots of light tackle action for sure.
If you are planning a trip this spring to Pensacola, Navarre or Perdido Key, then check out my reports from last year to see what you could be catching if you come down for a fishing adventure aboard the Mega-Bite.
