Thank you God! Thank you Mother Nature!

Pensacola - Saltwater Fishing Report

Thank you God for leading me! Thank you Mother Nature for the nice weather! The inshore stuff is off and running, just about name your fish and we can catch it now. The big female Sheepshead fishing has been on!! I caught three over ten pounds on my Easter day trip and have been catching several in that class on every trip. John Schleich, a member of the Pensacola Speckled Trout Club, quotes, "Catching Ol Molar Mouth has been a blast these past 2 weeks." Here are some of the clients having a great time aboard the Rare Breed.

There are still enough oversized Red Fish here to keep you on your toes. I catch one or two just about every trip out.

The Slot Reds are hungry also. Take a trip into Santa Rosa Sound and you'll see what I'm talking about. Just about all the regular spots are starting to produce fish daily.

The Speck fishing is coming in right on time. I like it when on the first Speck charter we boat a nice five pound Speck.

There were some 12 to 15 Cobia caught this past week. There were 2 caught the week before. So, what does this tell you? It tells me that I'm going to be out there as much as possible over the next three weeks!

A good friend of mine, Jonathan, deck hands a boat out of Destin- he gave me a good report a couple of days ago. They hit some natural bottom in 175 feet of water and loaded up on Grouper. They had two over 25 pounds and six more over 10 pounds to you grouper fishermen--it's TIME! There is also Red Snapper all over most of the spots I know.

"The greatest angling success, more valuable and satisfying than any trophy, is teaching a young person to fish"

I know one thing for sure - You ain't going to catch'em sittin' on the couch!!
So get out there, and take a kid fishing God Bless.
