Pensacola - Saltwater Fishing Report

Spring Break Fishing In Pensacola, Florida

Finally spring time, time to thaw out and hit the water for some fun. You have been cooped up all winter dealing with cold weather and snow. Why not come hang out with us on the beach and go fishing. The sand is nice and pearly white, the seafood is fresh, water is crystal clear, and the fish are biting. What more could you want? How about a short fishing report to get you fired up to go fishing?

The inshore fishing is better this year than it's been in a few years especially last year. If you're looking for table fare, the Sheepshead fishing is on fire! These fish are crazy looking with their prison striped body to their human style teeth. Perfect for munching on shellfish such as oysters, fiddler crabs and shrimp. They are so easy to catch a 6-year-old could do it.

The flats fishing is picking up for sure. We have loads of big Speckled Trout showing up as well as some very nice Redfish. This makes for a relaxing and very peaceful fishing trip. This type of fishing is more setup for the slightly more experienced angler as you will be casting a lot as well as working artificial baits. This time of year we are throwing mostly Z-Main Fishing Plastics such as the Z-Man Scented Jerk Shad in the Pearl and Sexy Mullet colors and various hard baits and top water lures. But don't worry, your captain is a professional and more than willing to help you learn if you think you need the assistance. After all, fishing isn't supposed to be work.
Well, that's a small fishing report for the month of March. I look forward to showing you around on your our next fishing charter in Pensacola.
Tight Lines,
Captain Chris
