Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing report for the w 3/7/2010

Another cold and windy week behind us, hopefully it will be the last for a while. I set a career low for charters in the first week in March with one on Sunday. I cant blame people for the lack of enthusiasm because most of the days were cold and windy.
Sunday finally gave us some light wind but the nights in the 40"s are keeping the water temperature below 60 which can make for some slow fishing.

Sunday fishing with Jim Ducey and his son confirmed this on a two tide day staying in the negative most if not all the day. The bright spot being a nice trout his son got on a mirrolure.
The good news is a break in the last. This may be the break we have been looking for with light winds and by Wednesday temperatures in the upper 70"s. This should get our water back above 60 which will get the fish moving again.
Tight lines get out and fish!
