Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Today started out with winds as calm as one could wish. Bait almost jumped into the baitwell it was so easy. It was a nice change from the past week. I picked up the crew from Wisconsin and was headed out just before 9 A.M. They wanted a few trout for dinner so we headed for the trout grounds. The bite was slow at first but we were patient and it paid off. We had a half dozen trout and wanted to go for the hard fighting reds and snook. We arrived at our next spot with about 45 minutes to fish. It wasnt long and Dan had a snook at the boat. Next up was Little Mason with a red just shy of the slot. Let me just say that us adults better watch out, This little guy knows how to fish. The guys had a couple fish pull free from our circle hooks and then, Yes Little Mason, had a 20 1/2 red boat side and in the net. We were getting close to quiting time when Logan hooked into a hard fighting 29 inch snook. I didnt want to head back to the dock but the Wifes were waitng. Thanks Dave,Dan,Brice,Logan and Little man Mason. It was my pleasure!!!!

Pine Island Sound Fishing Forecast:

The waters are warming and the fish are once again on the move. You may have to bounce around to find them but hold on when you do. This time of year it is a guess as to what will bite a bait.
