Pine Island Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing report for the week ending 3/18, as spring break comes to a end it has been a great one for big snook. I have seen a lot more oversized fish this year than last. Pictured at the top of the page longtime client Paul Rotseart with his personal best snook of 18 lbs.

There are a good number of sub-slot snook near the beaches and passes. Redfish have been slow with ones and two,s instead of schools, on the days when the wind has been light there are good trout in the 1-3 lb. range on the grass in 4-6 ft. of water. A sign that summer is around the corner mangrove snapper are showing up, one of my favorites.

I still have some openings for Tarpon Season!
